Job Title: Meditech Rhapsody Interface Analyst
Position Overview:
The Interface Analyst will be responsible for maintaining
integrated healthcare systems by developing, maintaining and
supporting HL7 interfaces using Rhapsody. The ideal candidate will
have experience working with Meditech Client Server and laboratory
interfaces. The focus of the role is to maintain support and
troubleshoot interfaces for healthcare systems, including but not
limited to messages such as ADT, ORU, ORM.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and understand complex healthcare integration requirements,
particularly with Meditech Client Server and laboratory
interfaces.
Develop HL7 interfaces using Rhapsody to support integration with a
variety of healthcare systems, adhering to industry best practices
and standards.
Design and document interface specifications, mappings, and
technical documentation for Meditech interfaces.
Troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues, ensuring
seamless data flow across systems.
Collaborate with Product Analysts, Engineers, and external partners
to plan, coordinate, and support interface development and
integration activities.
Perform gap analyses to identify interface transformation needs,
creating mappings to enterprise-standard dictionaries.
Participate in testing and validation of interfaces to ensure
successful integration and report on outcomes.
Oversee the management and updates of the Document Scoping
Workbook, detailing mapping, normalization, and configuration
specifications across the enterprise.
Work with business partners, vendors, and internal teams to lead
and coordinate efforts in maintaining both the Interface Scoping
Workbook and Document Scoping Workbook.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and implementing
interfaces with Meditech Client Server.
Rhapsody experience required.
Strong knowledge of HL7 standards and healthcare system
integration.
Expertise in interface/integration technology concepts (e.g. HL7,
APIs, databases, client-server, querying software and
communications protocols).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a
related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in SaaS implementation and support, with at
least 2 years of experience in healthcare IT.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to
manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in SQL and JavaScript is an asset.
Familiarity with other integration engines (e.g., Mirth,
Cloverleaf) is a plus, but not required.
Work Environment:
The role may require occasional on-call support for urgent issues,
with the flexibility to work in a healthcare setting with
interdisciplinary teams.
