Data Analyst Job in Buffalo NY:
MODIS is currently looking for multiple Data Analysts for a great opportunity in the Buffalo area. The ideal individual will have experience with report creation as well as Access and Excel. Individuals with medical data and Cognos experience would be highly desired.
 
These individuals will be part of a collaborate team and will have the ability to work with business users to define report criteria and evaluate results.
 
Responsibilities of the Data Analyst:

• 
  

• Work with business users to define and interpret necessary criteria for reports
• Utilize Access, Excel, and COGNOS for report creation
• Interpret results to ensure accuracy
• Provide insights to business users on availably of data
• Perform data downloads and data pulls
• Analyze, evaluate, and synthesize all data necessary to provide leadership with necessary information pertinent to making business decisions and the identification of trends.
• Organize and prioritize task assigned by leadership
• Presents information in a clear, concise manner designed to most effectively meet customer’s needs, while performing tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Develop databases and data extracts to store and organize information and provide detailed analysis of implications and findings as requested
• Develop and implement on-going data management processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and quality across all data sources and to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of data mining from the legacy and subsidiary data systems.
• Creates and manages databases to support on-going analytic needs

 
Qualifications of the Data Analyst

• 
  

• Bachelor’s degree an 2+ years of experience in the data analytics field
• Experience with medical or healthcare data is desired but not necessary
• Prior experience defining report criteria is desired
• Hand on experience with Access and Excel in necessary, Cognos experience is desired
