We are currently recruiting on a User Experience Designer job in Rochester, NY 14623
 
In this exciting role the User Experience Designer:
•Establishes an approach to support the user experience design phase of projects.   
•Analyzes impact, conducts feasibility studies and proposes solutions for technology and business projects.   
•Translates business requirements into user flows and wireframes to meet project objectives.   
•Facilitates user experience design sessions to identify business and technical requirements for technology, research and business initiatives.   
•Develops overall user experience, interaction design and information architecture for technology and business initiatives at the level of detail and rigor needed by those who must base their work on the design.   
•Uses a variety of analytical techniques to gather and analyze design requirements (e.g. interviews, facilitated workshops, surveys, site visits, use cases, workflow analysis, observations, etc.)   
•Evaluates information gathered from multiple sources and resolves conflicts.   
•Collaborates closely with business unit stakeholders, business analysts, end-users, external customers, and project managers to define the overall experience of technology and business initiatives and ensure that successful designs are implemented.
•Documents interaction design and screen behavior requirements in simple, unambiguous and concise language in order to provide direction to those who base their work on this information.   
•Provides information to support interaction design prioritization and tradeoff decisions.   
•Manages changes to the interaction design and communicates them to the rest of the team.   
•Acts as a lead on projects.   
•Defines process improvements for the user experience team and works with the leadership team to communicate and uphold user experience standards.
 
Following are the requirements for the User Experience Designer job in Rochester, NY:
 
Minimum of 5 years’ of experience is required for this job.  Consideration may be given to a candidate with a degree in lieu of experience.  Basic knowledge in one or more of the following areas: human-computer interaction, user centered design, usability, analytical techniques, technical infrastructure, business application, business process.
 
Special Skills:
•Knowledge of prototyping tools and Adobe technologies such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash Catalyst, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks is preferred.   
•Ability to defines and/or modify interaction design, information architecture, functional layout, and overall workflow of applications to ensure that designs are consistent with Paychex' standards and meet user centered design principles.   
•Able to create work plans for interaction design activities that include task breakdown, task estimating, and task dependencies.
