$7,500SUMMARY Coordinate and administer a comprehensive sports
medical program for designated location(s) and/or organization. The
athletic trainer will also perform professional and administrative
services essential for the successful implementation and
development of the program Our comprehensive sports medicine
experts are trusted to care for all athletes - from daily joggers
and pickleball players to high school and college athletes at St.
Lawrence University, SUNY Canton, and more. We focus on treating
bone, joint, and shoulder injuries, with non-operative sports
medicine providers, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists
specializing in a range of non-surgical and surgical treatments to
help you heal fully. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement overall sports medicine program for the designated
location(s) and/or organization, including: injury prevention
programs, injury evaluations, injury management, injury treatment
and rehabilitation, educational programs and counseling for
athletes
- Provide athletic training services for athletic department,
including attendance at scheduled team practices and home and away
competitions as necessary
- Coordinate and schedule physical examinations and medical
referrals for athletes to determine their ability to practice and
compete
- Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of athletes
requiring on field and clinical experience.
- Work in conjunction with the strength and conditioning staff to
ensure safety in the design and implementation of fitness,
nutrition and conditioning programs customized to meet individual
athlete needs.
- Schedule and coordinate coverage of all team practices and
athletic competitions.
- Assist Athletic Director and Head Athletic Trainer in the
management of the sports medical program budget.
- Evaluate and recommend new techniques and equipment that would
enhance the benefit of the sports medical program.
- Record keeping, documentation of injuries, and processing of
insurance claims.
- Coordinate and schedule pre-season physical examinations. ---
Assist Head athletic trainer develop and coordinate educational
symposiums.
- Opportunity for involvement in the function of orthopedic
clinics and outreach programs for Rochester Regional Health.
REQUIRED QUALIFICTIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training or Sports
Medicine
- Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Associate Board of
Certification
- New York State Licensed Athletic Trainer PREFFERED
QUALIFICTIONS:
- Familiarity with NJCAA governing rules
- Previous experience in Athletic Training or Sports Medicine
preferred
- 4-5 years of experience in Athletic Training or Sports Medicine
preferred. EDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force
occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move
objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. For
disease specific care programs refer to the program specific
requirements of the department for further specifications on
experience and educational expectations, including continuing

be considered for accommodations. PAY RANGE:$25.00 - $31.00 CITY:
Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14621 The listed base pay range is a good
faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful
full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible
for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors
including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal
equity, location, and contracts. Rochester Regional Health is an
